The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga hosted a two-day blood drive with nonprofit regional blood center Blood Assurance on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26. This was part of the sixth annual Bloodanooga event, which was held in the University Student Center.
“The students and the administration of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga are truly a remarkable group,” said Jay Baumgardner, executive director of marketing and community relations. “Each year, we see hundreds of donors during this drive, which results in hundreds of lives being saved. We are grateful to the 463 donors that came out for Bloodanooga this year, and we look forward to continuing this partnership.”
All donors who give in November will receive an “Fall in Love with Giving” T-shirt; donors 18 years or older will be entered into a drawing to win a $250 Amazon gift card. Those who donate through Nov. 25 can choose to receive either the monthly T-shirt or “I BLEED” themed socks to represent their favorite football team.
