Charleston-made Brackish bow ties continue to wind their way through the celebrity world. During the recent Emmy awards, two actors sported the feathery accessories. Terrence Howard wore a Guinea design while Tituss Burgess chose a peacock-feathered neck piece designed specifically for high-end retailer Neiman Marcus.
The bow ties are made in West Ashley in a firm locally owned by Jeff Plotner and Ben Ross.
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton also has sported the pieces in recent post-game appearances.
