New Year’s resolution makers will now find dozens of healthful, culinary-inspired meals on Newk’s Eatery’s menu to help jump-start this year’s healthy choices. Newk’s 600 Calorie Menu, which will be highlighted in restaurants in early 2015, is a complement to the fast-casual brand’s diverse menu of fresh tossed salads, California-style pizzas, hot toasted sandwiches, and made-from-scratch soups and desserts.
Offering a leaner take on the brand’s signature dishes, Newk’s 600 Calorie Menu offers a range of wholesome options without forgoing flavor for fitness. The gourmet-inspired menu features 80 different combinations of hearty soups like the new White Bean & Kale soup, introduced this past fall, as well as fresh-tossed salads and savory toasted sandwiches. Newk’s also makes special limited time additions to their 600 Calorie Menu throughout the year to both boost their offerings and infuse dishes with a seasonal flair.
“Many people struggle to find healthy choices when dining out. They feel they have to sacrifice enjoyable food to meet their fitness resolutions, but our menu disproves that theory,” says Alan Wright, vice president of marketing and franchise operations. “By making our full-flavor 600 Calorie Menu options available year round, Newk’s guests can maintain their healthy eating habits all year long.”
Such 600 Calorie Menu options as the savory Pesto Chicken Sandwich, topped with goat cheese and served alongside Newk’s Simply Salad, and Newk’s Shrimp Po’boy, paired with the Corn & Crab Chowder, are far from compromises in either heartiness or flavor.
The Jackson, Mississippi–based Newk’s Eatery has 74 locations across 13 states and plans to open 14 additional locations in early March 2015. Newk’s is featured on Technomic’s list of top 50 fast-casual chains nationwide.
