BASF donated $2,000 to the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Chattanooga State Community College. The company has been a primary sponsor of the Tiger Athletics basketball program since 2009.

"BASF is proud to support Chattanooga State for the great chemistry they create between the school and the community,“ said Robert Gagliano, BASF Chattanooga site manager. “Our partnership is rooted in a mutual desire to encourage the continual development of student athletes’ passion, talent and drive, which will mobilize students both on the court and in their future careers.”

The sponsorship check was accepted by Head Basketball Coach Jay Price on campus in the Chattanooga State gymnasium, along with players from the Tigers’ basketball teams.

"Chattanooga State is thankful for BASF's loyalty and generosity to our men's and women's basketball program over the years," said Head Coach Jay Price. "It is an honor to have BASF continue to recognize and support our student athletes as they work hard to make better lives for themselves in the classroom, on the basketball court and in the community."

BASF operates two facilities in Chattanooga, employing 130 local workers. The company invests more than $15 million in Tennessee per year through annual payroll, taxes and other investments.
