Dozens of folks are pedaling at their own pace while raising money for ovarian cancer research!

Spin classes are going on right now during the 2nd annual “Ovarian Cycle Jackson.” The fun filled event is taking place at the Club at the Township in Ridgeland from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All of the folks pedaling on spin bikes are raising money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The day of awareness and fundraising was inspired by Lori Newcomb, who is currently overcoming ovarian cancer.

“The message is to know your body and listen to your body and once you have reviewed the symptoms of ovarian cancer it’s really important to talk to your doctor and to discuss what that next step may be,” says Newcomb.

The Ovarian Cycle Jackson is sold out. However, you can still stop by the Club at the Township in Ridgeland to learn more about ovarian cancer. Also, check out the NewksCares website at http://newkscares.com/events/ to donate to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
